Start of Trim 4: Executive MBA at NMIMS Hyderabad

Finally we are done with exams of Trim 3 and have successfully started with Trim 4 of Executive MBA at NMIMS Hyderabad today. (The results aren't out yet for trim 3) There's been absolutely no time to either write post for my main blog or this. Since the main blog is of a greater relevance as of now, have been updating it regularly and not this one. Anyways, today was the first day of Trim 4 and it was a full day one - from 9am to 7:30pm ! That's definitely hectic. Since this is the first day of the trim, here is a list of subjects for Trim 4 of Executive MBA at NMIMS Hyderabad:

Day 1 Trim 4 highlights

Today we started with a session on Business Simulation and I totally love the way the course would take place. We were provided access to CAPSIM which is an industry leading business simulating tool that would help us apply all that we had learnt all this while in the course. Right from R&D to Marketing to Production/Operations and Finance. Totally looking forward to it !

The next lecture was Business Research Methodology which was all about how to prepare questionnaires and how to collect data. Since it was the first class we got basic introduction to the subject, the things we would learn and the tools we would use. Seems like an interesting subject but would definitely take some effort since those are numbers and we need to know how to make sense of those numbers.

Last session of the day was Consulting Skills. It was more of a practical subject that books. The faculty started by sharing some of his experiences during his career. It was interesting to listen to how things work out in reality and why do you need consultants ?

Overall a good day, looking forward to an even better trimester. Eagerly waiting for the results of Trim 3 too. Glad to have written this on the day of the class itself (Yaay !) See you next week, when we have class on both Saturday and Sunday :(
