Day 45: Relaxed Day; Project Management and Strategy

Today was the 45th Day of the Executive MBA at NMIMS Hyderabad Batch 15. It was a relaxed day as the classes were only till 4 pm and trust me it's a boon ! As mentioned, it was a pretty relaxed as the classes were still having introductory sessions about the subject. So here's how day 45 of Executive MBA at NMIMS Hyderabad was.

Project Management to start with

I don't know but I'm kindof liking the subject. May be it's because of the fact that the faculty is from an IT industry and his examples are quite relevant. We talked about the Project charter and the PMP work areas and processes. Learnt about RTM, RFP,SOW and things a like. All in all a pretty satisfying session.

Strategy got boring after a while

The second lecture was Strategy implementation. We talked about various management issues faced by the company and how to deal with them to ensure that the strategies formulated are implemented. We learnt about GE, Gucci, IKEA, Infosys and a lot of other big Indian and foreign companies who have excelled in implementing great growth strategies.

That's it about the Day 45 of the Executive MBA at NMIMS Hyderabad. I know the posts are gettting shorter in length with each passing day, but I'm loaded with work but committed to updating this blog too. So please bear with me. Will be keeping an eye on the Nadal match too. Have a great evening.
