This is bad :( A post after almost 2 weeks ! This class was on 4th of March but since I was travelling from 5th to 9th March, I couldn't write about this. Rushed home after class to pack my bag and hit the bed early as I had an early morning flight to catch. Nevertheless, I'll write about all that I can recollect about the Day 33 of the Executive PGDM course at NMIMS Hyderabad. Won't be able to segment this post like I've done in earlier posts.
So the day started with Financial Accounting. Till that day most of were unsure about our future in the subject. However, things became much clearer that day. The faculty took keen interest in what we were doing and how and took the effort to help each one of us individually. We were basically dealing with problems on Net Present Value (NPV) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) Solving problems with excel. Frankly I hadn't used excel this much ever. Not even at work. Work is all about Visual Studio, SQL Server and Browsers ;)

We were in for a surprise when the Marketing faculty walked in instead of the Managerial Accounting professor. Frankly, I'm glad that it happened, else it would have been a very hectic day. But as I write this today - 11th March - I feel the class should have happened then. We've lost touch of everything that has happened in Managerial Accounting. Like always Marketing was about 5Cs 4Ps and the STP. Don't know how we are actually going about it :/
The last lecture was on Operations Management. From what I can recollect, we learnt about the various types of layouts - Process Layout, Product Layout and things alike. Remember him giving us examples of an automobile assembly line and how it is different from manufacturing a blast furnace.
So that's it about the Day 33 of the Executive PGDM course at NMIMS Hyderabad. I'll now move to writing about my class this weekend. Read on to the next blog posts to see how things are going on for the Executive MBA students at NMIMS Hyderabad.
