Finally after a long time we had Saturday off, I was so so relaxed, like literally ! Like always, after a hectic week, one needs a couple of day off. But with college, it is getting a little tough since weekends are almost dead. Anyways, here's how Day 16 of Executive PGDM at NMIMS, Hyderabad was. Read about day 15 of Executive MBA here.
Presentation in IT for Managers
Well it was not a surprise that we were supposed to give a presentation. We had been delaying it for quite some time now. I was prepared almost a month back. People in class had to choose their topics. I luckily was assigned by the faculty. I was supposed to give a presentation on Internet, Web and Search. And since I'm a blogger, I spoke about SEO and SEM to it too. Another reason was that I recently pass Google's Online Marketing course. Yay ! The presentation went pretty good - as expected. I love talking, and this was amazing. The audience understood the things that I spoke of. Thanks to the questions that kept pouring in and I'm glad I was able to answer all of them. Even a couple of them told that they completed understood what I told. Nothing can be better than that ! So it was a great session.
Trade Receivables Ageing in Accounting
Accounting is one subject that I like. And the only reason is that because it helps me understand the news in the Business section of the newspaper. Accounting is a vast ocean with lots of topics underneath. For folks from commerce background that is easy, but for me things are getting tough by every passing week. Anyways today we learnt about Fair Value - Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 types and how it is calculated. How provisions are made for Non Performing Assets (NPA) and how it affects the Balance Sheet. Will try to spend some time to understand this.

Beamer in Statistics
If you are a cricket follower, you know about Beamer. Every Statistics class is like a bfor me. Things are going well above my head and it's getting tough to understand concepts. I've never ever been good with numbers and the ghost has returned to haunt. We had a test last time around, and today we were shown our answer sheets. I was a little unsatisfied with my marks, but couldn't ask for anything more based on what I had written. Though there were people who tried increasing the marks. Reminded me of school days :D
So that's all for Day 16 of Executive MBA program at NMIMS Hyderabad. We just have a couple of weeks before the end-semester exams start. It is going to be really tough to get through it. I'm actually working on my leaves and planning to days a few days off to prepare. Let's see. With this, I sign off for today. See you on the other side. Keep doing what you love.
Cya !
